Lakes & Fishing
  • Melham Pond
    The pond has a handicap-accessible fishing dock which is open free of charge to Senior Citizens and children under 16.


  • Calamus Reservoir
    State recreation area with fishing, modern campgrounds, and hatchery. Open as one the best outdoor recreation areas in the state. 56 miles northeast of Broken Bow near Burwell.


  • Victoria Springs State Area
    Ten miles north of Merna, 6 miles east of Anselmo. A delightful retreat with fishing, spring water, camping and rental cabin facilities, picnic, playground, and rental rowboats.


  • Sherman County Dam
    Located 40 miles east of Broken Bow near Loup City. Has excellent fishing and camping facilities.


  • Pressey Special Use Area
    Seventeen miles south of Broken Bow. Camping, picnic, and playground. Shallow river swimming and river sports. A perfect spot for the family.
